Cameo College had the immense pleasure of helping Wednesday’s Child Makari feel beautiful for her time in front and behind the camera. Makari told us how much she enjoyed her stylist, Tara, and their conversation together.
An intelligent and talented teen, Makari has endured hardships that no child should have to experience. After being separated from her mom in 2012, Makari has been moved around 11-14 times; often making new friends and having to leave before she can even say goodbye.
More than anything Makari wants a family that she can make memories with.

Dance and gymnastics classes are Makari’s biggest passions! This bright and funny teen gets along well with others and thinks the world of time spent with her friends, though she also appreciates her alone time. Makari can be a bit of a picky eater, but loves to dine on cheese.
Now in the ninth grade, she is friendly and outgoing with her peers, and currently benefits from counseling.
Makari prefers to be placed with a family where she can be the only child, with parents who enjoy fun activities and traveling. The caseworker prefers a two-parent family in which Makari can be the youngest child in the home. She would like to remain in contact with her siblings, biological mother and extended family members following placement. Financial assistance may be available for adoption-related services.
