Utah is one of the few schools training in Electrology within the Nation. Electrolysis was brought into Utah by the original founder of Cameo College “Gail Reddick” and continues to be the only school in Utah. Being one of the few States offering licensure, Cameo provides the opportunity for career opportunities within the field of Electrology. We were instrumental in the creation of the “Electrolysis License” and continue to be a leader within the industry.
With over 50 years, and 3 generations educating students in the Beauty Industry, we know what is required to create a successful graduate. As an Electrolysis student at Cameo College you will learn the art of all aspects of hair removal including electrolysis, laser hair removal and waxing in a hands on environment, using the latest esthetics equipment and products. You will have the opportunity to learn from Medical Director Dr. Richard Fryer (Plastic Surgeon) in a variety of Medical modalities related to the Electrolysis field. Cameo College services over 2,000 hands on service guests per month ensuring graduates obtain the necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skill to succeed in this growing and thriving field.
This program is a comprehensive program training in all areas of hair removal. Electrolysis is the only proven method of hair removal to be permanent. This program also trains in Laser Hair Removal which is considered long term hair removal. Cameo College is one of the few accredited schools training in Electrolysis. Gail Reddick (Brenda Scharman’s mother, and Rickie Mehl’s Grandmother) brought Electrolysis into the State of Utah.
Students will learn and understand all methods of hair removal with a focus on Electrolysis. Our hands-on clinic will provide an abundance of hands-on experience removing hair from both men and women. The student will be trained in all areas to equip them with the tools needed to operate a successful Electrolysis clinic.
Additionally, you will have the opportunity to learn from our extensively trained and highly dedicated instructors. Because Cameo College wants to assure that you have the greatest chance of success in your field, we offer mentoring to all graduates
