Cameo College Supports the Special Olympics Utah
April 30, 2016 – The Special Olympics Utah held their Black & White Bocce Ball. It was a fun night of dining and bocce ball with the Special Olympic Athletes. Cameo College of Essential Beauty had the great opportunity to donate items to the silent auction, which helped to raise funds for sports training and events for over 1,700 Special Olympic Athletes in Utah.
We received a beautiful letter from one of the athletes:
My name is Amber Gertsch. I am a Special Olympics athlete and board member. I have been participating in Special Olympics for 18 years. My favorite sport is swimming (as you can tell!). I love to do softball, bocce, basketball skills and bowling. I love Special Olympics Utah because it gives the opportunity to stand out in a crowd in a good way. I gives me the opportunity to be a leader for my fellow athletes. It has brought out the best in me and has helped me succeed in many goals.
Thank you for your recent donation to our Black & White Bocce Ball on April 40th. The money raised will stay right here in Utah and help athletes like me find the joy and happiness that comes from participating in Special Olympics sports training, competition and other programs.
We appreciate your generosity and support of Special Olympics Utah. Without you, Special Olympics Utah wouldn’t be possible!
Thank you for helping our dreams come true!
Sincerely,
Amber Gertsch
Special Olympics Utah Athlete & Board Member
