On Sunday, January 31, at ISSE in Long Beach, the winners for the Sassoon Academy School Connection Cut and Color Competition were announced. The announcement took place mid-show during Sassoon’s long awaited debut of their new Androgyne collection. The top three finalist, all of which are students here at Cameo College, were brought out onto stage in front of an audience full of beauty professionals. Before the results were revealed, before and after photos of each finalist’s model were displayed on a large screen showing the hard work and talent that went into these fantastic hair transformations.  At last, after much anticipation, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners were announced.

Coming in 3rd was Austin Gines, with Jessica Gonzalez placing 2nd, and Michelle Avila taking 1st place and claiming the grand prize; a 4-week intensive course at Sassoon’s Santa Monica Academy.

Cameo College wants to congratulate the winners and also give a big thanks to all the students who participated and those who came out to California to show their support. We are so grateful to have such hardworking and passionate students!
